Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said reservoir projects in Jakarta are obstructed by land buying process. This matter should not stop the project directly.
The problem is in land buying process
“The problem is in land buying process,” he said, Monday (5/23).
According to him, the project could be run on land that is already bought.
Flood Management should Be Done Simultaneously“We use an easy principle. Run the easiest first,” he added.
At this moment, the project is not involving contractor, but run by city’s water management agency. Jakarta Provincial Government already owns heavy equipment.
Previously, Jakarta Dept. of Water Management plans to construct 19 reservoirs this year. Several lands have been bought in previous years. Brigif reservoir is one of neglected projects.
